Alberta Toran was born December 25, 1918 in Ashland MS to the late Aaron and Vick Toran. God called her to his heavenly home March 16, 2015.
She was united in matrimony to the late Lodie Hodge Sr. March 24, 1939. From this union six children were born, two of whom preceded her in death (Lee Elton and Lodie Hodge Jr.) she also had two sisters and four brother; Lee Allie Lillard, Mattie Hill, Miles, Jerry, I.V and Melvin Toran all whom preceded her in death.
She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. In 1946 she joined Old St. Paul Skipper Spring Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Hampton, where she served as an usher faithfully until her health failed her.
She leaves to mourn her passing three daughters; Dorothy Hall of Detroit, Michigan, Roberta Hodge of Grand Junction, TN, Elosie Smith (Curtis) of Memphis, TN, one son; J.C. Hodge (Reba) of Detroit, Michigan and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends
