Erica Lea Gaines was born June 26, 1978 in Knoxville, TN to Mr. and Mrs. Harold and Christine Harmon. She departed this life on October 27, 2017 to retire to a better place.
Erica accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church where she was a member until she relocated to Nashville, TN.
Erica began her early school years at Caywood Elementary School and then transferred to Beaver Elementary School. Finishing her career at Lexington High School. She later decided to go to West Tennessee Business College to pursue Cosmetology. After moving to Nashville, she decided to go to school for Medical Billing and Coding.
Erica was an outgoing ambitious person who always strived to do her very best. She leaves to cherish her memory: a husband David Gaines of Nashville, TN, a daughter Destiny Kristina Gaines of Nashville, TN a son David Harold Gaines Jr. of Nashville, TN, her parents; Harold and Christine Harmon of Lexington, TN, four sisters; Ravin Harmon, Stephanie (Aaron) Pritchard, Katina (Victor) Stanford, Daisy Pettigrew all of Lexington, TN. She also leaves three nieces, a special niece; Caylee Swift, six nephews, a host of Aunts and uncles. Her grandparents are the late Bessie Mae Dabbs and Johnnie D. Tinsley and the late Ora Lee Harmon and Leon Harmon. Her bright smile and outstanding personality will also be missed by several special friends; as well as a host of other relatives.
