On July 7, 2019 the death angels came and peacefully took the bright spirit of James Houston Cooper. At the age of 68 he has attacked the worst and accomplished the best. Although his earthly life ended, God knew that his purpose here on this earth was completed.
He was joined in holy matrimony to Linda Diane Vaughn. To this union one child was born. Coop was born on May 3, 1951 to William Houston Cooper and the late Louise Johnson. He was a member of Key's Chapel United Methodist Church. His early childhood education was completed at Montgomery High School and he later graduated from Lexington High School. His employment began immediately after high school at Gould Century Electric and he continued his employment until his retirement from
Leroy Somer.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Linda Cooper, his daughter Felisa Cooper, one grandson Tyus Renfro, his father William Houston Cooper, two brothers Christopher (April) Cooper and Howard Cooper, three sisters Cynthia Cooper, Joyce Johnson, and Shelia Johnson, all of Milwaukee, WI. He also leaves to cherish a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Elizar Ann Harmon Cooper (who raised him), his mother Louise Marshall Johnson and his mother Mamie Arts Cooper.
