Mr. Joe Edward Chism was born February 27, 1947 to the late Mr. Ray and Bertha Chism in Toone, Tennessee. He was the third child of eight children. One sister Mrs. Stella Mae Gregory and one brother, Mr. James (Jack) Chism preceded him in death. Also preceding Mr. Chism in death two brothers- in-law: Johnny Gregory and Lester Cross.
Mr. Chism received his education in the Hardeman County School System. Mr. Chism was a retiree of Standard Construction Company, where he held the position of foreman. He was a very dedicated worker. Mr. Chism enjoyed sports, loved his family and spending quiet time at home.
Mr. Chism was a former member of Clover Chapel Baptist Church.
Mr. Chism leaves to cherish his memories a step-daughter, Valarie Bills, a grand-son; Tyler Bills and a great-grand daughter; Brenlee Bills, three sisters; Mrs. Ida (John. T) McKinnie, Mrs. Dorothy Cross and Miss Katie Cobb, two brothers; Mr. Arthur (Pearline) Chism, Aaron (Sandra) Chism, sister-in-law; Missionary Anna Chism, two uncles; Mr. Johnny (Doretha) Hill of Joone, TN, Mr. Lonnie B. Hill, Chicago, IL an a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends that will miss him dearly.
