As the scriptures states, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith…this is what Ms. Lessie B. Spinks demonstrated when she entered into eternal rest on April 9, 2018 with her family and caring staff by her side at NHC Healthcare facility.
Ms. Lessie B. Spinks was born May 11, 1938 to the late Willie and Velma White in Lake County, TN. At an early age, she professed her faith and became a dedicated member of William Chapel Baptist Church. She was united in matrimony to Mr. Adam O. Spinks, Sr. on October 12, 1952 where they blended their families and were blessed with 3 from their union. Mr. Adam O. Spinks, Sr. preceded her in death on September 16, 1995.
She is survived by her children: Johnny, Raymond, Jolena Coates, Robert (Becky), Mildred McHaney (late Robert), Lealorn (Mary), Albert Ray, and Adam Jr.; her siblings: Maggie Ella Greenhaw, James (late Alneder), Howard, Harvey, and Gene; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; a host of other relatives: nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her children: Carl (Candice), James, and Sarah Ann; her siblings: Willie Jr. (Shane), Jimmy (Francis), Oralee Bills (late Martin), David, Corine Isable (late Charles), and a sister who died at birth.
She will be greatly missed but no longer has to suffer and will be united with those whom she longed to be with especially the
love of her life "Son".
