Phyllis Teresa Tinsley was born October 12, 1956 to the late Louella Garrett and Bobby Funderburk in Perryville, TN.
She received her education through the Parsons and Decatur County School System.
She was a devoted member of Rock Hill Baptist Church.
She was united in marriage to Frederick Johnny Tinsley. She was a biological mother of none, but was very instrumental in helping to raise many.
She was preceded in death by her mother Louella Garrett, father Bobby Funderburk, and brother Randall Buchanan.
Survivors left to mourn her passing are Frederick Tinsley (husband), Tina Garrett (sister) Marvelle (Michelle) Taylor (brother); nieces: Tosha (Rikenson) Colas, Tyquavzsha Reed, Denaja Reed, and Asha Taylor; nephew: Nathaniel Taylor, great nephews: Dysean Roberts, Rickeson Colas II; aunts and uncles, and 2 sisters-in-law and a host of family and friends that loved her dearly.
