Tommy Ray Flakes was born June 12, 1952 to Lancaster (deceased) and Inez Flakes both from Lexington, TN.
Tommy accepted Christ at an early age at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. He received his education in the public-school system of Henderson County and was a graduate of Lexington High School. He served his country proudly and enlisted into the United States Army in 1970. There was never a challenge or any type of adversity that Tommy did not face head on. He was meet with bliss when he was wed to his wife Melissa Yvonne Raspberry April 24, 1986.
Tommy leaves to cherish his memories his loving mother: Inez Flakes (Lexington); his wife: Melissa Flakes (Lexington, TN); his sisters: Barbara Sue Flakes, Marguerite Flakes, Bridgette (Richard) McCurry, all from Lexington, TN; children: Telly Flakes, Atoya Raspberry, Anthony Flakes, Dameion (Ashley) Raspberry, Deion (Candance) Flakes; twenty-two grandchildren. Our heartfelt thanks to our cousin Mr. and Mrs. James H. Pearson of (Wildersville, TN); A host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A special thanks to Richard and Angela Smith (Lexington, TN) and Marsha Hailey (Detroit, MI); a host of other relatives and friends.
